Beaman Family, Breads And Other Carbs

Ingredients

1 large box of Quaker Oats (old fashioned, rolled oats)

1 1/2 c. oil

1 1/2 c. honey

1/2-1 c. wheat germ


Optional Ingredients:

1 12 oz. bag coconut

1 lb. raising

1 lb. chopped dates

1 lb. chopped apricots

1 c. dried apples (chopped), pineapple, banana chips

Any or all: sesame seed, almonds, walnuts, pecans, cashew nuts

Directions

Mix oil and honey.
Pour over the oats, mix well, and spread on 2 cookie sheets.
Cook at 250 until well-browned, stirring occasionally.
May take 1 hr. or more.
Remove from oven.
Mix in 1/2-1 c. wheat germ, and any of the Optional Ingredients

Notes

Great for breakfast, snack, or over ice cream or yogurt
